My Comics: Strawberry Ale [Pt 2]

Caroline has sent over this week the full draft comic for Strawberry Ale and also some concept images for the two main characters of God and Satan.

Check out below for page 1 & 2 and the concepts for God & Satan. I’ve got to admit I’m really looking forward to this one as I think it will be an exceptional comic and very original as well.

My Comics: Collections - The Annual [Pt 3]

The print copy of Collections – The Annual came this week and I have to say it looks absolutely amazing.

The print quality is second to none. So much so my wife actually thought it was from my normal comic collections.

I’ve added the link to the website on my shop section where you can get the paperback or PDF version.

My Comics: The Legend Known As... [Pt 12]

As you may have heard in the last blog Caroline Parkinson of ‘The Exiles Daughter’ fame is going to take over the full colouring duties for the second issue of The Legend Known As… Below you can see her test page she has submitted and I’m sure you’ll agree it looks bloody brilliant.

My Comics: Loads of them!!

We’ve had an excellent turn out for new artists to join Unico and we’ve managed to get four brand new comics commissioned. And a new colourist (Caroline Parkinson) to make sure we get issue 2 of The Legend Known As… out this side of hell freezing over or Katie Price retiring from the media spotlight… which ever comes first. The new comics due for a 2011 release are as follows and out of the four three are mine

Strawberry Ale > Genre: Comedy/Drama. Artist: Caroline Parkinson.

“On a summers day in a quaint English pub two men sit down and discuss humanities past present and possible future. Like all men the chat gets more intense between these two friends as the more they drink. The twist? Well one man is God and his friend is the Devil”

Stand off at Sutton farm > Genre: Sci-Fi. Artist: David Byrne.

“This science fiction, horror about a normal family who during one warm autumn night suffer a terrifying experience that turns their world up side down when their quiet farm is approached by alien visitors. This comic is loosely based an a supposedly true story from the late 70’s in America where the Kelly Family have a horrible close encounter of the third kind”

Our Heroes Fall > Genre: Action/Drama. Artist: Jag Lall.

“Set in an alternative present the British government has outlawed private Super Heroes. Our story follows the daughter of one such hero after her father is murdered. As she investigates she comes across a conspiracy of greed and underground ‘Masks’ trying to help the best they can. A former sidekick herself Rachael needs to find her answers anyway she can”.

My Comics: Collections - The Annual [Pt 2]

Collections: The Annual is now ready to buy from this website. If you visit the collections sub-page you can see a preview of the book and buy a hard copy for £6.00 or a PDF version for £1.50.

I just want to say thank you to every single person over the years who has wrote, illustrated and reviewed the comics over the years, I’d also like to thank the admin team who have helped edit it and proof read it and make sure that we all have one hell of a comic to put out. Thank you also to the people who have bought Collections over the years and we hoped you have enjoyed them.

We’ve made some good friends over this book and got some great artists and writers onboard full time because of it. So once again thank you and I hope this 15 page graphic novel sells well as your work deserves to be seen by as many people as possible.
